My family and i has been staying here in Cagayan for almost 11 years now, and after those long years we have learned to love this place. Nice environment, peaceful community, and as far as i can remember, this place has rarely experience major calamities.
But on the the 3rd day of January 2009, around 6-7am in the morning, our beloved city was hit by a Flash Flood. Properties has been destroyed, Thousands of Families lost their homes, even some have lost or have missing family members. Some of our church mates was even affected by the flood, but thank God they are all safe now. Praise God that the said thing happened early in the morning and not at night when everybody is at sleep!

that was ready scary of what had happened in our city. I also reside here in Cagayan de oro. thank God we're safe. But unfortunately, fellow cagay.anons suffered from the tragic event.
